Starting today, after the latest Windows 10 update the HP Solution Center software will not start/open. After clicking to open there is an audible beep tone and nothing. No error dialogue or indication that anything has failed but the program does not start.
It had worked all the way up through yesterday with the latest versions of Solution Center and Windows 10 installed. The only change was an updated today that said it was just a flash player security update.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice, checked to make sure my private network settings were OK, all to no avail. I need this to scan documents.
Anyone with any ideas?

It's an issue with the latest Windows Security Update. It disables some flash programs, which HP Solutions Center uses to load.
Here's a solution:
Enter "View Installed Updates" in the Windows search bar. It will show an option in the Control Panel.
Click on the shown option.
Select the "Security Update for Microsoft Windows (KB3132372)" and an Uninstall option will appear next to the Organize dropdown.
Click on Unistall and work through any prompts.
Once unistalled, the HP Solution Center will work.

Thanks, uninstalling the security update fixed the problem. It thought about trying this but I was hoping there would have been another solution as reversing security updates can be an issue but I need the Solution Center more so off we go. Hopefully the next update will address.

THANK YOU!
Fixed the problem for me when the software didn't launch today.
Much appreciated. (Next time I'll come here first... I, too went through the uninstall/reinstall/get frustrated steps.)
Happy New Year!

This is ultimately a bad idea, as the security update patches known flaws in Windows 10. I hope HP is working either independently, or with MS, to resolve this issue in a way that does not decrease security protection.

I have had a problem with loading the HP Solution Center because of that security update (KB3132372) that is being discussed. Deleting that Windows 10 security update does temporarily fix the problem on two of my computers but…………apparently Windows updater reloads it if it is missing so it may be necessary to delete it each time you want to use the HP Solution Center.
In trying to fix the problem (on my desktop computer) I used the Best Buy Geek Squad. I have a service contract with them. They spent 4 hours two days ago and 2 hours yesterday and could not solve the problem. The first time they uninstalled all of the printer software and reloaded it multiple times. The printer prints fine but the HP Solution Center never would load, just a beep and a flash of the page on the desktop. Later that day, after going to this forum and reading about removing that security update, I deleted that security update and tried opening the HP Solution Center. The initial Solution Center page appeared but then I got a dialog box indicating that the application was not loaded correctly. (It fixed the problem on my two laptops because I did not remove and reinstall the printer software on them) The printer works fine from all three computers. The next day I contacted the Geek Squad again after I had tried to reload the printer software including the HP Solution Center. Again, they spent over 2 hours and could not get the HP Solution Center to work. Their final suggestion is to either take it in to a local Geek Squad or do it myself to reset the system back to an earlier date prior to the date of the security update. If I had not removed the printer software and reloaded it in trying to fix the problem I would at least have the Solution Center available on my desktop.
There must be many people that are affected by this Windows 10 security update. How do we get the word to Microsoft or maybe HP to help us out with this problem. Right now, my long range solution is to replace my HP printer with another brand printer.

Argh...
Well, at least we know the issue will be ongoing until someone can fix the issue. And a sticky note with the update identifier will suffice to make the 20 second fix. Pain in the patoot, but a easy to apply work around. Not good for people who scan daily/hourly. But for my needs of once every few weeks... I can live with it.)
I did check a couple other sites around this security update. Apparently the issue is use of Flash. It seems Adobe has been aware of a security issue and cannot or will not address it. So, MS fix is to not let Flash run.
(Of course, it might be my bias against Adobe which now approaches a personal level. I am convinced they see my IP address and automatically send my requests and issues into the nether regions of the ethernet.)
Thanks for the update and additional information, Sagota.
